I was driving home for lunch the other day (I live about 4 min from my house), and as I was almost in my neighborhood I passed Mel and my two daughters, Norah and Aspen, on their bikes. Aspen is in summer school and they were riding bikes home.
I slowed and rolled down my window. Mel was behind the two girls, watching them, so I passed her first, and did my standard “hey beautiful.” Then I drove past Aspen who smiled so brightly, and giggled, and cried “hi daddy!” Then Norah, waved and smiled as I slowly drove by.
