The "Lasts"

Last night, as I was in the kitchen doing dishes, I heard a thud on the stairs, and some crying from my 8yo daughter Aspen. I’m not sure what happened exactly. Perhaps she tripped, or stubbed her pinkie toe, or rolled down a few steps and broke every bone. The way she was crying, it was hard to tell if it was a small or life threatening injury.
