Mel and I were at church. It was quiet, someone was giving a talk in the chapel, and Mel was in the hallway wearing a long sunflower print dress. I was in a brown suit coat with blue slacks and a white shirt.

I approached her with a sly smile and said “do you want to go see Twisters with me?” I raised my eyebrows, and Mel smiled and said “What’s it about?” In a suspicious whisper, her eyes narrowed. I told her it was about storm chasers and how I loved the original as a kid. And she asked several more questions to see if it might be scary, and I assured her I did think it would be but didn’t really know.
