It was the last night of our cruse through Mexico and Mel and I had dinner in the dining room. To our right and our left were two different couples, both in their mid 60s. Both were retired and empty nesters, and both couples went on a cruise together once a year. Sometimes more.
And naturally, they talked. Both couples talked. They told us about their adult kids, and grand kids. They complimented us on going on a vacation just the two of us, no kids, because at the end of it all “we really will only have each other.”
