Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Mel went to visit family in Utah and Idaho for a little over a week. I had to stay home for work obligations and to get Tristan to drivers education. And I’ll just say it, I’ve been lonely.

This October Mel and I will be celebrating 20 years together, and I can really only think of a handful of times when we have been apart since then. I guess it makes sense that you would miss the person you’ve spent so much of your life with, but saying it and living it are two separate things.
